Woman recovering after being shot multiple times in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating after a shooting left a woman injured in North Philadelphia.

Police responded to reports of gunshots around 3:16 a.m. Sunday on the 2700 block of North Hemberger Street.

Upon arrival, police discovered a shooting scene, but no victim.

A short time later, a 32-year-old woman arrived at Temple University Hospital suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

She was listed in stable condition.

Police say a preliminary investigation revealed the woman was at the location when someone began firing.

No further details have been released as police continue to investigate.
